The features we publish across our brands add to the public narrative examples of diversity leadership in a time when mainstream media often chooses to ignore such inspirational stories. Through our vast brand ecosystem, we have excelled in helping Fortune 500 corporations attract and recruit diverse leaders.
Although we are minority-owned, we can do better to make D&I a fabric of our internal culture, human resources, and talent strategy.
Our mandate to drive D&I for 2020 and beyond includes:
Leadership
We will internally work toward diversifying leadership and management teams and establish an advisory board that not only drives strategic need but also is diverse.
Hiring
We will consider diversity for every role we hire. Our recruiters will expand their resources, using specific affinity group hiring websites and, when possible, become more targeted/proactive in their recruitment effort to drive diversity in the pipeline of candidates.
Training
Our leadership, management, human resources, and talent teams will receive anti-bias training, and the company will continue its anti-racism training.
Transparency
We will make diversity at Guerrero Media visible to all by publishing our D&I metrics on our website and holding ourselves accountable. These self-generated, volunteer snapshots of our D&I metrics will be updated semi-annually.
Giving Back
We will continue our gratitude efforts with communities of color.
Continuing the Conversation
We will creative an environment conducive to conversations about D&I and proactively highlight efforts at company gatherings.
